| Since 2000, Mountainfilm in Telluride has traveled the globe educating and inspiring audiences and starting conversations with films from our festival. We embrace the ethos of celebrating indomitable spirit and through our tour, we strive to incite change in global communities. We have recently embarked a on new project that allows us to promote our mission while treading lightly upon our landscape.
In June of 2009, we will embark on the Zero Emissions Tour - a 2,300 mile unsupported bike tour throughout Colorado, Wyoming & Utah. Along our route, we will organize community based events centered around Mountainfilm content. By illustrating how positive our tour can be with an almost total elimination of fossil fuels, we hope that our example will be a catalyst for action and that our sponsors will benefit from the direct marketing our tour will provide. During the first leg, we will bike to Vail, CO for the TEVA Mountain Games returning to Telluride with stops along the way. The second leg (June/July) includes stops in Crested Butte, CO, Lander, WY (International Climber’s Festival), Jackson Hole, WY, Park City, UT, Salt Lake City, UT (OR), and more. | |
