William Hurt plays an engaging and complex character who is eager to turn his life around after spending six years in jail. He is in need of a ride home to Louisiana and the possibility of a reunion with his ex-wife when he happens upon a pair of teenagers up for a road trip -- Kristen Stewart and Eddie Redmayne, two outcasts wishing they could find somewhere to fit in. The three misfits form unexpected bonds in a shared need for acceptance as they head south through the bayou. Based on a short story by Pete Hamill, this film received its world premiere at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
