At the age of 36, Mark O'Brien, a man who had polio since childhood, decides he no longer wishes to be a virgin. With the help of his therapist and his priest, he contacts a professional sex surrogate, played by the always authentic and moving Helen Hunt. Inspired by a true story, this film follows the fascinating relationship which evolves between Cheryl and Mark as she takes him on his journey to manhood. Be prepared to be moved by this surprisingly humorous and thought-provoking work that was the hit of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
